The Great Escape

I found myself inside of a car with a familiar female I'd known from high school. We were sitting in a parking lot of what looked to be a mall or something similar. We made our way inside, I was carrying a tan bag that for some reason made me feel nervous. Once we entered the building, it was apparent that this place was an arcade similar to Chucky Cheese. There were kids running around and making noise. We went to the left down a hall and made our way to a table.

We sat and I opened the bag that I had carried in. Inside the bag were two marijuana water pipes. We each grabbed one and were preparing to smoke when the girl I was with noticed a security camera to the left of us. I began to stash away our pipes back into the bag when a woman approached. She didn't announce herself as security or anything of the like, but she began to go through our belongings on the table. I told the female that accompanied me to run.

We both began running out of the building toward the entrance that we came through but it turned out that the entrance was no longer there and it had turned into a ladder that we had to climb up in order to exit. I helped my female accomplice up the ladder and followed behind her. Once we were outside we ran towards the car and I got in the drivers seat. I began driving and suddenly realized where I was. I was in Kettering, Ohio, a town located near Dayton, Ohio.

At this point I also realized that my cousin lived here and I wanted to find a payphone to call him so we could hide out at his place. I drove down a road passing a cop which made me very nervous. I ended up pulling into a small gas station to look for a payphone. Once I parked the 'car' I got out and looked back at it. It wasn't a car at all, it had turned into a recumbent bicycle and my female accomplice was nowhere to be found.

I began fiddling through the pocket in my hoodie as I walked around in search of a payphone. In my pocket was about an ounce of marijuana. This kind of freaked me out because I didn't want to have a run in with the cops. I continued searching for a payphone and finally stumbled upon an old auto shop. One of the garage doors was open so I wondered inside. I found a tall, seemingly nice guy who was messing around with some tires and talking with some co-workers about a girl he's been trying to impress but hadn't been having luck with.

I approached the man and asked him if there was a telephone I could use. He was very polite and said he would help me out. He kept telling everyone about the girl he was trying to impress and he was getting made fun of a bit for failing to pick her up. I told him that everything would work out and he just needed to keep at it. I could tell he really appreciated the comment. He went on and on about this girl until I finally had to interrupt him and ask him once again if he had a telephone I could use. He just kept going on about the girl and the more he talked the crazier he got, he was getting too close for comfort to me and was raising his voice.

I told him I had to go and began to walk out of the shop. He followed me out yelling and shouting crazy things and finally let me be. I found myself walking down a sidewalk in what looked to be a a very run down and dangerous side of town. I saw a black man walking adjacent to me and he was staring at me with an evil eye. He said something threatening toward me and I just waved him off and told him I didn't want any trouble.

I knew now that this was a very rough area and that I needed to make it to a payphone very soon. I walked a bit more down the sidewalk and found an apartment complex. I walked in and made my way up the stairs and opened the door to the apartment. I saw around 3 or 4 good looking women that for some reason I knew to be celebrities. I asked them if I could use their phone and they weren't happy about me being there and told me to leave. I walk out of the apartment and I'm back in the little run down city. I walk around a corner and see what looks to be the inside of a mall. I knew there had to be a phone here.

I walk in and see a young 16 or 17 year old kid at a desk with a phone. I asked him if I could make a call and he came back with some smart ass comment and let me use the phone. I dialed the number but didn't get get anyone on the line. The younger kid started getting hostile with me and began threatening me. The argument escalated until he finally pulled out what looked to be a plastic m16 or similar assault rifle.

I was able to slow down time for the moment and dodged behind a wall. I heard the gun shooting off and then it came to a sudden halt. Things went in slow motion once again. This time I dashed out of hiding and toward the young kid. I grabbed the gun from him and smashed it on the ground breaking it into pieces. I began to punch him until he was huddled on the ground. There was a wooden shelf to the left of us. I grabbed his head and began to smash his face on the shelf repeatedly.

He was pouring blood out of his nose and mouth and appeared to be either dead or unconscious. I then remember telling myself to wake up as I didn't want to sleep too late. That is where the dream ended.
